The MEISSEN® Porcelain Manufactory has amassed a rich treasure of shapes and patterns in the centuries since it was established that is unique of its kind in the world.
Every artistic epoch has spawned creations of its own. The appeal of vessels, vases and figurines in the Baroque and Rococo styles was not confined to the courts of 18th-century kings and princes, for instance. MEISSEN® also created quite a stir with them at International Exhibitions in the 19th century such as those at Paris or Chicago. Timeless masterpieces of porcelain art such as Ludwig Sturm’s painstakingly wrought jewellery casket or the showpiece tureen by Meissen’s modelling genius Johann Joachim Kaendler have remained bywords for peerless craftsmanship up to the present day.
